Life is one full circle, and everything in your life is connected in one way or another.
Your health, your relationships, your finances, your environment, your spirituality, and your family. They are all tied together and play a part in your life balance. For example, if you are sick, you can’t work, you don’t work, your pay is short. Your payment is lacking. You can’t pay all your bills and have added debt due to doctor bills and medication. You are lying in bed, not interacting with your family, or you are irritable and don’t want a lot of noise. I can’t go to school functions, so now your kids are affected. Your partner has to do all the work, so they feel overwhelmed.
I don’t think many people realize how one part of your life affects everything else.
Do you look at your life in sections, or do you just look at it as a whole?
I know I didn’t look at my life in sections for years. I lived with the idea that if my life was okay, then I was okay. So I really didn’t think about if my life was balanced; I was just trying to make it from day to day.
Then one day, I was researching a topic and found an article about the Life Balance Wheel.
It was ironic because my sister and I were just talking about how everything in your life is connected. I had never heard of (the life balance wheel) yet it has been around since the ’60s. It is a tool that life coaches and therapist use to help their patients find peace and balance in their lives. It helps you have a visual look at your life and what it looks like at the moment.
As I started to find information about the Life Balance wheel. I wondered what my life would look like on this wheel. So, I printed out the printable and followed the directions, and when I told you, it had me thinking about things in a new way. Not only that, but there were also areas that I thought were good in my life that I needed work on. There were areas I thought I was terrible that ended up not as bad as I thought.
I now use this tool as a life checkup. Every time I implement something new, something changes, or want to see where I have grown, I do a Balance Wheel.
You don’t have to have any major problems using this tool. I would tell everyone I know about this tool and suggest they try it. I mean, what can it hurt, and who doesn’t want to have a balanced life? I know I do, and anything that can help me be as happy and productive as I can is always a plus in my book.
So how does it work?

You make a wheel or print one of the printables I have on this blog.
- You divided it into eight critical parts of your life
2. You give each part of your life a score from 0 to 10
3. The score is based on your satisfaction in that area of your life.
4. You break down each part into ten sections, the outer section being level 10 and the section close to the center being level 0.
5. Color or shade the sections based on the score that you give them. (Use a different color for each section)
Example:
If you rate relationships a 5 out of 10, you will color five sections in the relationship part.
You do this for every part of the wheel.
Once your wheel is colored, you write down what is working for every section and what you want to improve for every section.
After that, you make a life plan for the things that you want to improve in your life.
Well that’s all I have today, I hope this helps you on your journey
